This page lists every cookie and similar technology that elevanatours.com sets, what each one is for, and how to switch it off. The list is not a general description — each name below is one that this website actually sets.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site recognise the same browser on a later page or a later visit. Two related technologies do the same job in a different place in your browser: local storage, which persists between visits, and session storage, which is erased when you close the tab. Both are covered here.
What this site does not do
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies for TikTok or LinkedIn, and we do not sell your browsing data. Three companies receive anything at all from this site: Google, for the two purposes described below, Microsoft, for the session recording described under “How pages are used”, and Meta, for the Facebook and Instagram advertising described under “The Meta Pixel”.

Analytics — how the site is used
These tell us which pages are read, how people move through the site and where they leave. They are about pages, not about you as a person.

Advertising — whether an advert led to an enquiry
We advertise on Google. When someone arrives from one of our adverts and then sends an enquiry, these let us count that enquiry once against the advert that brought them. They are what stops us paying for adverts that bring nobody, and they are not used to build a profile of you or to show you adverts elsewhere on this site.

Session recording and heatmaps — how pages are used
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are actually used: where people scroll, what they click, and where a page confuses them. It records the movement of the pointer and the taps on a page, and plays them back as an anonymous session.
What it does not record: Clarity masks text typed into form fields by default, so what you write in an enquiry form — your name, e-mail, telephone number and message — is not captured in the recording. We have not turned that masking off.

Advertising on Facebook and Instagram — the Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel tells Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, which pages of this site a browser visited. We use it to measure adverts we run on Facebook and Instagram, and to show those adverts to people who have already visited this site.

Services that set them
- Google Tag Manager — loads the two services below. It does not itself collect anything about you.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how the site is used.
- Google Ads — measures whether our adverts lead to enquiries.
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymous sessions and builds heatmaps so we can see which parts of a page work and which do not.
- Meta Pixel — measures whether our Facebook and Instagram adverts bring people to the site.
What Google does with the data is governed by its own privacy terms, at policies.google.com/privacy. What Microsoft does with the Clarity data is governed by the Microsoft privacy statement, at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. What Meta does with the Pixel data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy, at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
How to turn them off
- In your browser. Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a single site from its settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site settings”. Blocking ours will not stop you reading any page, browsing tours or sending an enquiry.
- Analytics only. Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Advertising only. You can turn off ad personalisation across Google at myadcenter.google.com.
- Session recording only. Microsoft lets you opt out of Clarity on every site that uses it, at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. Browsers that send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal are also honoured by Clarity.
- Facebook and Instagram adverts only. In your Facebook or Instagram settings (Accounts Center), “Ad preferences” and “Your activity off Meta technologies” let you stop Meta from using visits to other websites, this one included, to choose the adverts you see.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. It is written from what the site actually sets, so it does not go stale quietly.
