Your journey begins as you are collected from your Abu Simbel hotel or the airport and brought to the Movenpick Prince Abbas cruise for boarding, starting at 1:00 PM. Relish lunch on board before setting out to visit the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel temples, monumental structures carved into rock by Ramses II and relocated to their current site after the construction of the High Dam. These iconic temples are among Egypt’s most magnificent archaeological treasures.
Return to the ship for afternoon tea and leisure time before dinner and overnight stay on board.

Savor breakfast as the cruise sails toward Kasr Ibrim. View this ancient citadel from the sun deck—once perched high above the Nile, now an island within Lake Nasser. After enjoying lunch, join your guide to discover the Amada Temple, originally constructed by Thutmose III and later expanded by Amenhotep II and Thutmose IV.
Continue to the remarkable rock-cut Temple of Derr, commissioned by Ramses II, and then see the Tomb of Pennut, resting place of the former Viceroy of Kush and also relocated to preserve it from the lake’s waters.
Later, return for a cocktail reception on the ship followed by an entertaining Nubian folkloric show.

Return to the ship for lunch as you cruise toward Aswan. Enjoy dinner and a restful night aboard the ship in Aswan.

After breakfast, join your Egyptologist guide for a tour of the Kalabsha Temple, which was originally located 30 miles further south and relocated following the creation of the Aswan High Dam. Built during the Ptolemaic era and finished under Roman rule, the temple honors the Nubian god Mandulis and displays a blend of Egyptian and Roman iconography.
After the visit, disembark from the Movenpick Prince Abbas. You will then be transferred to your Aswan hotel or onward destination.

In the afternoon, begin your exploration with a visit to the High Dam, an impressive feat of engineering constructed in 1960 to manage the Nile’s annual floods. Next, take a boat ride to Agilika Island to marvel at the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Conclude your sightseeing at the remarkable Unfinished Obelisk, still connected to the bedrock in the ancient granite quarries.
Return to the cruise for dinner and spend the night moored in Aswan.

Begin your day with breakfast on board before heading out to visit the Kalabsha Temple. This temple, honoring the Nubian god Mandulis, showcases a fascinating blend of late Ptolemaic and Roman architecture and was relocated to save it from flooding after the High Dam’s construction.
Your next stop is Beit El Wali, a small rock-cut temple built by Ramses II and moved with international support. Admire its cruciform design and vibrant reliefs illustrating military victories and scenes of devotion.
Return to the cruise ship for lunch. In the afternoon, the Movenpick Prince Abbas begins its voyage toward Wadi El Seboua, crossing the Tropic of Cancer en route. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

After breakfast, disembark to explore the monumental Wadi El Seboua, or 'Valley of the Lions.' Walk the avenue of sphinxes leading to Ramses II’s temple. Continue to the nearby Temple of Dakka, dedicated to Thoth, and visit the Maharraqa Temple, notable for its well-preserved spiral staircase.
Return for lunch as the cruise continues toward Amada. Enjoy dinner and spend the night anchored near Amada.

Have breakfast on board before touring the Temple of Amada, the oldest monument in Nubia dating to Thutmose III. Admire the well-preserved reliefs and vivid interior colors. Proceed to the rock-carved Temple of Derr, commissioned by Ramses II, and the Tomb of Pennut, the Viceroy of Kush.
Sail onward to Kasr Ibrim, the only ancient Nubian site remaining in its original location. View its impressive ruins from the deck, as disembarkation is not permitted.
Later, cruise to Abu Simbel and enjoy dinner on board.
