Your Elevana Tours representative meets you at Cairo International Airport, assists with the arrival formalities and transfers you privately to your hotel. After breakfast you set out with your Egyptologist guide to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. A short flight brings you to Luxor, built upon the ruins of mighty Thebes. In the morning you cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings and the majestic Temple of Hatshepsut set against the cliffs. As the afternoon nears, your guide leads you to a prime open viewing location with a clear horizon. With certified solar-safe glasses supplied, you witness the spectacular total solar eclipse over Luxor — up to roughly six minutes of daytime darkness on 2 August 2027. Overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast you travel by comfortable private vehicle across the desert to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada. On arrival you check in to your beachfront hotel, where turquoise water and golden sand await. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the sea and unwind after the excitement of the eclipse. Today is a full free day to enjoy the Red Sea at your own pace. Relax on the beach, swim in the warm clear water, or join an optional snorkelling or diving trip to explore the vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish.
