Itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport you are welcomed by your Elevana Tours representative and helped smoothly through immigration and baggage claim. A private air-conditioned vehicle transfers you to your hotel to check in and relax. The evening is free to recover from your flight and look forward to the days ahead. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2Pyramids of Giza & Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast your Egyptologist guide takes you to the Giza Plateau to stand before the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, the timeless icons of Egypt. You enjoy time for photographs and to absorb the scale of these ancient wonders. In the afternoon you explore the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, where the full collection of Tutankhamun’s treasures is displayed in modern galleries. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3Fly to Luxor – East Bank Temples
A short flight brings you to Luxor, the greatest open-air museum in the world. You tour the vast Temple of Karnak with its towering columns and sacred precincts, followed by the graceful Luxor Temple. You check in to your Nile-view hotel, perfectly placed for tomorrow’s eclipse. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 4Eclipse Day – West Bank & Totality
This morning you explore the West Bank, descending into the painted royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings and admiring the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut. In the early afternoon your guide brings you to a carefully chosen open viewing site as the light begins to fade. Wearing the certified solar-safe glasses provided, you witness the total solar eclipse over Luxor, up to roughly six minutes of astonishing daytime darkness on 2 August 2027. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5Departure
